Competition in the manufacturing industry is extremely keen. Global competition must be met with increased flexibility, higher quality and better productivity. The eternal question is: how do I get more spindle-hours out of my machines? In the long term there is only one sustainable answer – palletisation and automation.
System 3R’s broad automation range gives users higher productivity and better competitiveness, as well as faster payback on capital invested in machines.
One product that has turned out to be suitable as a “first step” in automating the production of short runs, or even single-piece production, is WorkPal, a pallet changer with minimal floor space requirements which can easily be installed next to an existing machine for automatic changing of pallets in a chuck on the work table of the machine. Both milling and grinding machines and wire and die-sinking EDM machines.
The design with a sliding door over one whole side gives maximum access to the magazine, making it easier to load and take out the pallets. No costly modifications of the machine are needed, since the changer arm lifts the pallet over the tank of EDM machines.
For machines with a machine table which has no air supply for the necessary pneumatic chuck, a new option is now available for WorkPal – air supply built into the changer arm of the robot. This makes installation in such machines even more straightforward than before.
This option is available for System 3R’s Macro and Macro116 pallet systems and for MacroMagnum. With this option, the magazine can, for example, hold 40 Macro pallets with a transfer weight of 15 kg.
This option is a further addition to System 3R’s extensive range of quality tools, palletisation and automation systems which generate significant added value for the manufacturing industry all over the world.
